A Place Called Home

Personal Project and Self-Published (limited) picture book showcased at Kathmandu University, 2014 B.F.A. Exhibition. Drawing from Shaun Tan's visual style, A Place Called Home is the story of a dog who comes home one night after being lost to find that things were not like they were before. Told in a surreal dream like narrative the visual imagery includes a gigantic moon, a red kite left alone at dusk and dark forest lit by moonbeams and fireflies.

A first venture into picture book story telling as writer/illustrator the book is about loss and death richly done in mix-media with undertones of watercolor, charcoal and ball-pen.
